The Assistive Technology Resource Center of Beijing, a subordinate organization of Beijing Disabled Persons’ Federation(BDPF), is a public service institution founded in May 2011. Covering an area of about 4,500 square meters, the Center is a large and integrated assistive device rehabilitation in China. The Center’s main responsibilities include: Developing and implementing the work plan on assistive devices in Beijing; Enhancing the publicity and promotion of assistive devices, investigating the disabled persons’ demands on assistive devices; Evaluating the suitability of assistive devices for the users and providing training and consultation services; Supervising the quality of assistive devices in cooperation with related authorities; Leading scientific research institutions to research and develop assistive devices, and training the technical personnel and service management personnel of assistive devices in Beijing.
